Ideal Treatment Plan for a Healthy, Natural Pregnancy

First Trimester

Weekly acupuncture treatments until week 12 of your pregnancy. Acupuncture can help prevent miscarriage, manage nausea and vomiting, increase energy, treat constipation and bloating, reduce anxiety and help with sleep.

Second Trimester

Every 4 weeks or weekly acupuncture treatment depending on individual needs.

Acupuncture can help maintain health and prevent common pregnancy symptoms like back pain, hip pain, headaches, stress, pelvic pain, sciatica, indigestion, insomnia. It can even address medical conditions like gestational diabetes or high blood pressure.

Third Trimester

Weekly treatments starting at 32 weeks if your baby is in a breech presentation, otherwise weekly treatments starting at 37 weeks to prepare for labor.

Acupuncture can help optimally position the baby, ripen the cervix, increase energy, reduce anxiety, manage edema and reduce high blood pressure.

Fourth Trimester

Weekly treatments at one to two weeks postpartum to help increase milk production, prevent postpartum depression, restore energy and support the healing process from tearing or Cesarian birth. It’s important to rest in the postpartum time, so Tanya is available for postpartum home visits.
