Research has demonstrated that moxibustion can help turn breech babies. Moxa is a plant (Artemisia Vulgaris, commonly known as mugwort) that is used as a heat source to stimulate acupuncture points.
Ideally treatment begins at 34-35 weeks, but can still be useful when used later in the pregnancy. Moxibustion techniques can also help turn babies that are not in an optimal position prior to birth, such as posterior presentation.
